Viking Art remained long joint Nordic despite foreign influences,

Saga Literature and poetry art was kept alive well into the 1200s, while the Viking era faded out in the mid

from around 1070 to the early 1300s,

The Danish archaeologist Iben Skibsted Klæsøe testified foreign influence with the era marked

new impulses in the form of objects and new ideas,

During the High Middle Ages were Western European styles like the Romanesque
far more dominant then the Christian Norden was linked more closely to the rest of Europe.
